I knew college books were expensive, but I had no idea to what degree. I went down to UALR today to get my textbooks, and my goodness they are expensive. I wasn't able to get the lab manuel for chemistry or the solutions manuel for calculus, but I was able to get the chemistry, calculus, and intro to computer systems books, and those three alone cost $450! Thank god for my scholarship because otherwise I would be up the creek without a paddle. By the time I get every other book I need, my books will total about $700. Yikes. I feel sorry for the people who have to pay for these out of their pockets, because if you ask me, those kinds of prices are totally outrageous. I mean, its a book! Its only going to be used for 3 months! Oh well, nothing we the consumers can do about it I suppose.
